Since stories are entered into DrillPress first, editors can
quickly review entire upcoming issues before print production
has begun.
Then,
export to print.
Any content can be Quark-exported in its entirety, or smaller
sub-sets (such as "Editorial Picks" or "Award winners") can
be generated. Common exports include:
- Stories.
Features, stories, reviews, etc. can be quickly sent to
Quark for regular print page production. DrillPress can
generate nearly all the content for an entire newspaper.
- Events.
A newspaper's entire listings calendar can be generated
in a variety of layouts for easy handling in Quark. Or,
a simple filter can generate specialized listing sub-sets
(only holiday-related listings, for example).
- Places.
Print-formatted listings of restaurants, clubs, bars and/or
other venues can be generated as needed. (Or, generate a
sub-set listing of Editorial picks.)
- People.
Print-formatted listings of artists, musicians, bands and
other community members can be generated as needed. Such
listings can form the basis of entirely new publications
(a print directory of local bands, for example).
- Works.
Generate print-formatted listings of record albums, books,
and/or other works created by members of your community.
