CONTENT
MANAGEMENT
Enter
any story.
Editors can use DrillPress to enter features, columns and
reviews about any subject. Each story is classified ("Arts>Photography,"
for example) for easy retrieval later.
Capture
community data.
DrillPress stores information about the people, places and
events in your community. DrillPress's extensive data model
collects detailed info about local restaurants, bars, clubs,
and musicians, as well as the events associated with them
(including art openings, film showings and concerts). It also
remembers the specific works (CDs and books, for example)
that community members have created.
Relate
community members to content.
Stories can be associated with various community members (people,
places, etc). DrillPress also remembers when specific people,
places, works and/or events are related. For example, an editor
can tell DrillPress that a local blues band has a regular
Thursday night gig at a specific corner bar.
Add
multimedia.
Photos and media clips (MP3s, Real audio, etc.) can be stored
with any related content — a place, a person, event, review,
etc. — for a variety of future uses.
Select
picks.
Editors can tag favorite people, places, events, works, and
stories as "Editorial picks" for later recall online or in
print.
Keep
track of awards.
Additionally, editors can tag appropriate people, places,
events, works, and stories as "Award winners" for later recall
online or in print (such as a "Best of" issue).
